Looking after Health and Safety makes good business sense.
Workplaces which neglect health and safety risk prosecution, may lose staff, and may increase costs and reduce profitability.
This standard focuses on elements such as:-
- Demonstrating an awareness of legal obligations in relation to health and safety
- Relevant health and safety policies and procedures are in place to demonstrate compliance with health and safety legislation
- Systems are in place for staff to raise and resolve health and safety issues
- Nominated staff are given duties, and these are communicated to all staff

Level 1 – has five criteria sections
Level 2 – has two criteria sections
Level 3 – has four criteria sections
There is a natural progression and so you’ll start at Level 1, and once completed you can move on to Level 2, and then Level 3 on each of the eight standards.
