This reinforces the fact that, in addition to the moral argument for looking after employees’ wellbeing – employers also have a strong financial incentive for doing so.

This standard focuses on all aspects of mental healthy including:-
  • Give workers information to reduce stigma around mental health
  • Workers are aware of legal entitlements on working conditions
  • Workers show mental health and wellbeing are valid and supported at all levels of the organisation
  • Management training
  • There is a mental health and wellbeing strategy
  • Out of work activities

There is a natural progression and Level 1 is often a good place to start, but you may be ready to go for Level 2 or Level 3 on each of the eight standards.
